ATTENTION IMPORTANT DATE
SEPTEMBER 13, 2008
WHAT – MOTORCYCLE SUMMIT MEETING
WHERE – RICHMOND, VIRGINIA - Holiday Inn – Staples Mill and Broad Street
WHO – MOTORCYCLISTS WITH AN INTEREST IN PROTECTING OUR RIGHT TO RIDE and MAKING THE ROADS SAFER FOR US
WHY – BECAUSE WE NEED INPUT FROM YOU ON ISSUES WE FACE
Many of you have expressed an interest in getting together in one place on a date certain to discuss issues common to all who ride.
We need your input going forward in order to preserve what we have and hopefully improve what we have.
You, as riders, are aware of the significant increase in fatalities among our people, this fact has stirred many to begin suggesting all
kinds of solutions, many which would virtually destroy the fun of riding and some which would eliminate motorcycles altogether.
Unless we motorcyclists become part of the solution I am afraid we will have our way of life destroyed.
You only need to look at what has happened to the independent shops and builders over the last five or so years to understand
that there are those who would like to see motorcycles eliminated.
An awful lot is being written in Virginia about motorcycle accidents and a lot of the articles are using national data the does not apply
to us, however the person reading the material does not know the truth and it is our job to inform them.
Attendance is complimentary, Contact Jim at jim@vcomonline.org to register[/b] _________________ Jim Cannon, Director
