As usual, VCOM did a wonderful job hosting the pre-lobby day meeting. For those of you who could not attend, below is a list of the legislation discussed, patrons, and whether or not VCOM supports this legislation. To read the text of any of these bills, go to http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?091+men+BIL, and enter the bill number with no spaces (example: hb1873).

VCOM Supports the following Legislation:
----------------------------------------

HB1873 - Motorcycle Classifications for Military Personnnel. Patron: Delegate John Cosgrove
HB1870 - Motorcycles Riding Two Abreast. Patron - Delegate: Bill Janis
HB1906 - Modulating Brake Lights on Motorcycles. Patron: Delegate Ward Armstrong
SB1360 - Uninsured Motorist Coverage. Patron: Senator Reynolds

VCOM Opposes the following Legislation:
---------------------------------------

HB2183 - Operation of All Terrain Vehicles on Highway. Patron: Delegate Phillips
HB2036 - Age of Tires for State Inspection. Patron: Delegate Iaquinto
SB1428 - Seat Belt Use to be Admissible in a Civil Action. Patron: Senator Quayle

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please be sure to thank VCOM for researching and staying on top of legislation in Richmond, and for hosting the pre-lobby day meeting to insure we are all informed as the 2009 Legislative Session kicks off.
