Hi, I'm new to Virginia (from Florida) . I just recently bought a new mc and want to remove the AIS (air injection system). If I do will it pass state inspection? Thanks for any info.

Technically no, My bet is the system is buried deep enough on the bike it will never be noticed though.

Then make sure you take it to an inspection station that is not familiar with your model, like maybe a car shop, or a HD shop for a japanese bike or a suzuki shop for a HD. I think you would be ok then, just keep the parts to put it back together if you got in a jam.
