January 2009 Special Election for State Delegate

There will be a special election on January 13, 2009 for an open seat in the Virginia State Legislature. The district for this race is in Arlington and Fairfax VA, and just outside of Washington, DC. The departing incumbent has consistently voted to keep the universal helmet law, so we now have a chance to get one vote closer to passing a bill that will defeat it.

The Road Warrior Service has asked ABATE of Virginia's state legislative officer for guidance in this race. And if it turns out that this race can make a difference in defeating the state helmet law, we will certainly help you make that difference.

Election Results

We just got the results of the January 13 special election in Northern Virginia for State Delegate. This race was between two candidates on opposite sides of the helmet law issue.
